My name is Tahir Husain, and I am proud to be a part of a family whose journey in hospitality and food service spans more than five decades. The story behind Lazeez Hakeem did not begin with a restaurant. It began with hard work, determination, and a dream.
In 1968, my father, Mr. Hakimuddin Saheb, came to Bhopal with the hope of building a better future for his family. Like many people of his generation, he started with humble work and faced challenges that could only be overcome through dedication and perseverance. Alongside his brothers, he gradually entered the food business, serving tea and snacks to workers, families, and travelers.
As Bhopal expanded and New Market emerged as the heart of the growing city, my father established what would become known as Hakeem Hotel. The restaurant was built not merely as a business but as a commitment to quality food, honest hospitality, and long-term relationships with guests. Over the years, countless people became a part of our journey. Some visited as customers and became friends. Others brought their children and grandchildren, creating relationships that have continued across generations. This trust became the most valuable asset our family ever earned.
As time passed, I joined the business and dedicated myself to strengthening and expanding the brand. My belief has always been simple: good food alone is not enough. A successful restaurant must also deliver consistency, cleanliness, warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
With this vision, Lazeez Hakeem was developed and strengthened as a modern restaurant brand while remaining connected to the values established by our elders. We focused on improving systems, maintaining quality standards, and creating memorable dining experiences for every guest who walked through our doors.
Today, Lazeez Hakeem is recognized by guests from across India and beyond. Every guest, regardless of status, receives the same respect and hospitality that has guided our family for generations. Our efforts have been recognized through various awards, but they simply remind us to continue improving every day.
My son, Mohammad Husain, represents the third generation of our family's hospitality journey. His education in hospitality management, achievements in culinary competitions, professional training, and international exposure bring a modern perspective to our traditional foundation.
Watching him learn, grow, and contribute to the future of the business gives me confidence that the values established by our elders will continue for many years to come.
For us, hospitality is not limited to serving meals. It is about creating opportunities, mentoring young people, maintaining standards even when nobody is watching, and treating guests with dignity and respect.
As I look toward the future, my vision is to build an organization that combines tradition with innovation, experience with education, and heritage with modern systems.
